Adzuki Sesame Balls
crispy on the outside · red bean adzuki cream
Fried sesame balls with adzuki bean paste, a classic dessert from Asian tradition. The white sesame coating gives a crispy texture, and the interior hides a dense adzuki core. Pre-shaped, ready to fry at home.
The crispy sesame coating over the sweet red bean filling, exactly the dessert you'd end a dim sum meal with. Fry them directly from the freezer until golden, no preparation needed, and you'll have the taste of an Asian teahouse at home.

Jian dui with adzuki
Jian dui is the dim sum dessert built on contrast: crispy sesame, chewy rice dough and sweet red bean paste.
Notes
Eat one piece at a time, chewing carefully. The chewy texture is a choking risk, and children should be supervised. The product contains sesame and gluten and may contain traces of egg, milk, soy, crustaceans and tree nuts.

Authenticity
Why it's worth it
Sesame balls are jian dui, the classic Chinese dessert served at yum cha, with a red azuki bean filling. The glutinous rice coating expands and gets covered with golden sesame seeds when fried, making it crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The 24 pieces have a sweet but not at all overwhelming azuki paste, and the palm oil used is RSPO-certified, from sustainable sources.

How to enjoy
Fry the Sesame Balls with Adzuki directly from the freezer at 170°C for five to six minutes. Move them gently for even browning, drain them on a wire rack, and let the filling cool down before serving; the exterior may seem ready before the center is hot.
Food pairings
Serve them like this
◆ Matcha or Bourbon vanilla ice cream
◆ Hot oolong or pu-erh tea (yum cha)
◆ Hot dark chocolate with honey
◆ Strong filtered coffee or long espresso
◆ Sweet dessert wine (Vin Santo or Tokaji)
