Sushi Night at home
Sushi Night is designed as a complete experience, not just a set of ingredients. The toppings are already cooked or prepared for serving and sliced to the right size. You coordinate the thawing, rice and presentation, bringing three textures to the table: nigiri, chilled sashimi and warm unagi.
Notes
Keep the salmon and all other toppings refrigerated until assembly. Once thawed, consume them the same day and do not refreeze. Dip nigiri topping-side down in soy sauce so the rice stays together.
Homemade sushi
Authenticity
Why it's worth it
Japanese restaurant brought home, with hard-to-find fish already portioned and ready to arrange. Nigiri was born in Tokyo almost 200 years ago, as quick street food sold at stalls, slices of fresh fish placed over sushi rice. The hard work is done, you just defrost and arrange, as sashimi or as nigiri, without any master knife.
Culinary inspiration
How to enjoy
Thaw the toppings in the refrigerator and arrange them nicely on a platter. Serve them as clean and simple sashimi, or as nigiri over sushi rice, with wasabi and gari on the side, and edamame as an appetizer. A restaurant-quality meal for 8-10 people, without leaving your home.
Food pairings
Serve them like this
◆ Cold sake "Junmai" or "Daiginjo"
◆ Asahi Super Dry or Sapporo beer
◆ Dry white wine, Riesling or Albariño
◆ Sencha green tea
◆ Iced water with lemon
